Lisburn Cathedral Scout Group provides an active , adventurous, fun weekly scouting experience for over 150 children. The scout group runs sections from 4 years and older for boys and girls from all sections of the community. Leaders, helpers and those who can offer skills e.g. computing, cycling, archery, fencing etc are always welcome.
Squirrels are for 4 to 6 years of age and meet on a Monday night from 6.15 to 7.30pm. There is often a waiting list to join Squirrels.
Beavers are for 6 to 8 year olds and meet on a Monday night from 6.15 to 7.30pm. We have 2 beaver colonies at present who meet at the same time but split for games and activities.
Cubs are for 8 to 10.5 years of age and meet from 6.15 to 7.45pm on a Tuesday evening.
Lisburn Cathedral have 2 Cub packs and both meet at the same time but split for games and activities.
Scouts are for 10.5 to 14 years of age (years 7-10 at school) and meet on Tuesday evenings from 8.00 to 9.30pm.
Lisburn Cathedral have 3 Scout Troops and one troop is away each week doing something adventurous whilst others catch up on badgework, learn new skills, play games etc
Explorers are for 14 to 18 year olds and meet on a Wednesday evening from 7.45 to 9.30pm
Scout Network – are for those aged 18 and over who support the scout groups activities
Cathedral Scouts Sports Club (CSC)- the scout group also offers extra regular activities to children, parents and adults alike with members joining the scout group being able to participate in the clubs archery, fencing, hill walking, kayaking, mountain biking and other pursuits found on this website. By charging a nominal membership fee and participation fees of £2-£5 depending on the activity the club is accessable to all. Full training and equipment is provided for activities offered.
